Hello! My name is Ethan Mensior, and I'm a 17-year-old junior at Meridian Technical Charter High School (MTCHS), currently in the Software Development Pathway. My love for computers and games started early in my life, so much so that I used to try breaking games just to "find the code" behind them when I was younger. That curiosity eventually led me to MTCHS, where I've been able to hone and sharpen my skills through challenging coursework and hands-on experience. More specifically, I enjoy working with Java, databases, and Unreal Engine, and I stay motivated by seeing people enjoy the projects I create. While I do deal with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, these challenges have helped me grow stronger and taught me the importance of asking for help when needed - an essential skill both in normal life and the workplace.
In my freetime beyond just coding, I enjoy playing various videogames, working on personal projects, writing, and also collect Skylanders figures. Writing in particular has helped me develop strong organizational skills that translate very well into my school life and project planning. Along with that, many of my peers have told me I exhibit kindness, empathy, and leadership. One of my proudest achievements ever was co-leading a 24-Hour Community Service Event for St. Luke's Children's Hospital, which raised over $23,000 as well as earned me a gold medal in the SkillsUSA Community Service Competition at the state level. I believe my mix of technilogical skills and personal skills would make me a valuable asset to any team. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me!
